Pregnancy Scans
There are lots of different reasons why people choose to have private pregnancy scans and no right or wrong time to have one – whatever stage you are at in your pregnancy, you will find that a scan can provide you with invaluable information about the health and development of your baby.
You might simply want to make sure that there is definitely a heartbeat at 6 weeks, or you may have been told that there is a potential problem and want a second opinion before deciding what to do next. Whatever your reason, you can be sure that Victoria will perform a thorough scan and give you as much time and explanation as you need.
We give the scans different names depending on when we do them and glean different information from them depending on how far into your pregnancy you are. You may already have a clear idea of what you want but below is a very brief summary of the main types of scan to help you decide what is right for you.
More information about each scan is available by following the links, but if you are still not sure, please do contact us and we will be very happy to advise you and make sure you get the most out of your experience at Beard Mill Clinic.
